Why "agent" is the word copies hide behind
Skyexchange runs on agents. A real agent issues your Skyexchange ID, credits your deposit, pays your withdrawal and answers the chat when something goes wrong. That is exactly why the word is useful to a copy. Say "I am your Skyexchange agent" and the listener assumes a role, a company behind the role, and a reason to be asked for money. None of those assumptions is checked by the person saying the words. You have to check them yourself, and the checks below are the ones we run when someone asks us whether a number is ours.
Check 1: Who opened the chat
This one decides most cases on its own. A genuine Skyexchange chat begins when you tap the WhatsApp button on this website. It does not begin with a message that lands in your inbox, a reply to a comment you left, a number shared in a group, or a call from someone who "saw your interest". If you cannot remember tapping the button on getskyexchange.com to start the conversation, the conversation is unverified. Close it and start a new one from the Official Channels page. If the same person is on the other end, nothing is lost. If a different person answers, you have your answer.
Check 2: What they ask you for
A real agent needs two things to issue an ID: a name to put on the account and the mobile number you will log in with. That is the whole list. Here is what a real agent never asks for, in any order and under any explanation:
- A password, including the one they just sent you "to confirm it reached you".
- An OTP from your bank, your UPI app, or your mobile network.
- A screenshot of your UPI app home screen, your bank balance, or your card.
- Your Aadhaar, PAN or any document photo. ID verification on Skyexchange is done through the account itself, not through WhatsApp uploads.
- A "refundable activation fee", "ID release charge" or "verification deposit" that is separate from your actual playing balance.
One of those requests, on its own, is enough. You do not need to collect three.
Check 3: How the payment details arrive
Payment details on Skyexchange change, which is the one fact copies lean on hardest. "The number changed today" sounds plausible because it is often true. So do not judge the details themselves. Judge how they arrived.
A genuine flow looks like this: you say you want to deposit, the agent asks the amount, then sends the current details as text you can copy, usually a UPI ID and sometimes a bank account with the IFSC. You pay, you send the screenshot with the reference number visible, and the credit shows on your balance within the window the agent quoted. The deposit and withdrawal guide walks through each message.
A copy's flow is faster and pushier. Details arrive before you have said an amount. They arrive as a QR image only, so you cannot read the name behind it. There is a countdown: "this ID is valid for ten minutes". After you pay, the first payment "did not reflect" and a second account is offered. Any one of those is a stop sign.
Check 4: What the ID looks like when it comes
A Skyexchange login ID is a short username plus a starting password, sent together, with the platform address. It is not a link to a site you have never heard of, not an APK file attached to the chat, and not a request to install a "Sky Exchange AG app" to log in. Players do not use the agent panel at all. If you are sent to anything with agent, master or admin in the address, read who actually uses those portals before you type anything. The official app page is the only place the app is distributed from.
Check 5: The timing of everything
Copies work on urgency because urgency stops people doing the first four checks. Real agents are busy during a match and slower at three in the morning, but they never pressure you. A bonus that "expires in the next five minutes", a deposit that "must be made before the toss", or a threat that the ID "will be cancelled" if you do not pay today are all scripts. Skyexchange has no time-limited sign-up offers, and an ID that has not been funded simply sits there. Nothing is cancelled and nothing is charged.
Check 6: Ask us
The last check is the one people skip because it feels like an accusation. It is not. Open the official chat from this site and send the number that approached you with the words "is this yours?". We answer that question many times a day and we would far rather answer it than help you chase a payment later. If the number is ours, the agent on the other end will not be offended. If it is not, you have just saved yourself the deposit and helped us get the copy taken down.
What to do if you already paid
Act in this order, and quickly. First, stop replying to the other number. Every further message gives them another angle. Second, open a dispute in your UPI app or call your bank, quote the transaction reference and say the payment was obtained by impersonation. The earlier this happens the more chance there is of a reversal. Third, tell us through the support page with the number, the amount and the screenshot. We cannot refund money that never reached us, but we can block the number from our side and warn others. Fourth, if you typed a password into anything they sent, change it on every service where you reused it. The security checklist covers the rest of the clean-up.
The six checks on one line each
| Check | Pass | Fail |
|---|---|---|
| Who opened the chat | You did, from this site | They messaged first |
| What they ask for | Name and mobile number | Password, OTP, documents, fees |
| Payment details | Text, after you named an amount | QR only, before you asked, with a countdown |
| The ID itself | Username, password, platform address | Strange link, APK, agent panel |
| Timing | Calm, even if slow | Expiring offers, threats |
| Ask us | "Yes, that is ours" | Anything else |
If every row passes, go ahead. If one row fails, start again from the Skyexchange home page and open a fresh chat. The agent who wanted your business will still be there.
